Flagship
Initiatives

Some of the most important work the Global Partnerships Forum does not happen in the plenary hall, but in the sustained, focused effort of its flagship initiatives. These are programs and partnerships that GPF has championed over time — each one a demonstration of what becomes possible when the right actors commit to working together around a shared goal.

Preparing the Next Generation to Build Partnerships That Deliver.

Building effective partnerships is both an art and a practice. The Global Partnerships Institute was created to provide structured, practical learning for students, young professionals, universities, companies, and institutions seeking a deeper understanding of diplomacy, sustainable development, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Drawing on GPF’s experience at the intersection of diplomacy, development, and cross-sector partnership, the Institute offers accessible programs grounded in the real challenges of building alliances across sectors and borders. Its work includes UN 101, diplomacy and partnership development, youth and university programs, and entrepreneurship clinics.

Through mentorship, practitioner insight, and hands-on learning, the Institute helps participants understand how global institutions work, how trust is built between partners, and how ideas can be developed into practical initiatives with lasting value.

The Pearl Initiative

Raising the Standard for Business Integrity Across the Gulf and Beyond.

The Pearl Initiative is a non-profit organization focused on promoting a corporate culture of accountability and transparency across the Gulf region. Born out of a conviction that sustainable economic development requires trustworthy institutions, the Pearl Initiative works with businesses, governments, and universities to embed good-governance practices into the fabric of regional commerce.

Through research, training, and corporate-engagement programs, the Pearl Initiative has built a growing community of organizations committed to doing business with integrity — and has demonstrated that ethical business practice and commercial success are not in tension, but mutually reinforcing.

GPF has supported the Pearl Initiative from its earliest days and remains a strong champion of its mission to advance accountability, transparency, and responsible leadership across the region.

The Global Mental Health Task Force
The Global Mental Health Task Force

Making Mental Health a Global Priority — Because No Sustainable Development is Possible Without It.

Mental health is one of the most underfunded, underreported, and misunderstood challenges in global development. Hundreds of millions of people around the world live with mental-health conditions that go undiagnosed and untreated — not because solutions do not exist, but because the systems, resources, and political will to deliver them have historically been absent.

The Global Mental Health Task Force was established to change that. Bringing together health experts, policymakers, advocates, and funders, the Task Force works to elevate mental health on the global development agenda — making the case that investment in mental wellbeing is not a luxury, but a prerequisite for achieving the SDGs across education, employment, gender equality, and beyond.

GPF convenes and supports the Task Force’s work, providing the platform and partnerships needed to translate advocacy into action. The Task Force seeks to elevate mental health as a central pillar of sustainable development and human wellbeing.
