The Global Mental Health Task Force
Making Mental Health a Global Priority – Because No Sustainable Development is Possible Without It.
Mental health is one of the most underfunded, underreported, and misunderstood challenges in global development. Hundreds of millions of people around the world live with mental health conditions that go undiagnosed and untreated – not because solutions do not exist, but because the systems, resources, and political will to deliver them have historically been absent.
The Global Mental Health Task Force was established to change that. Bringing together health experts, policymakers, advocates, and funders, the Task Force works to elevate mental health on the global development agenda – making the case that investment in mental wellbeing is not a luxury, but a prerequisite for achieving the SDGs across education, employment, gender equality, and beyond.
GPF convenes and supports the Task Force’s work, providing the platform and the partnerships needed to translate advocacy into action. The Task Force seeks to elevate mental health as a central pillar of sustainable development and human wellbeing.
