John Forrer

Director of the Institute for Corporate Responsibility (ICR) and Associate Research Professor of Strategic Management & Public Policy, George Washington University

 

John J. Forrer is the director of the Institute for Corporate Responsibility (ICR) at the George Washington University School of Business. He manages the activities of ICR and currently leads projects on: Cocoa Carbon and Community: Impact investing opportunities in Trinidad and Tobago; DC Solar Pollinator; the Global ESG Impact Forum ESG and Infrastructure, and Good Will Chocolate.

Current research project topics include: impact investing, ESG standards in emerging markets, carbon credits and offsets, ESG as a form of global governance, peace bonds, circular economy and fast fashion, and sustainable cocoa supply chains. He teaches courses on impact investing, business government relations, and public private partnerships.

He is an affiliated faculty member of GW’s Global Food Institute and team member at GW’s Climate and Health Institute.
